This is My Family

They weren't all abused, or even neglected, but some were.  Whatever the reason, they were not wanted and when animals are not wanted, they can be in danger.  Horses sold cheap because they are the wrong color or otherwise don't fit into some breeding program, can end up in an abusive or neglectful environment, and even slaughter, despite being young and healthy.  These guys, at KCR, are all healthy and happy now and, God willing, I will keep them that way for the rest of their lives.

KC and Gabby Racing

KHEMOKLASSIC 1999-____.  KC is pure Arabian, and great grandson of the famous KHEMOSABI, but they didn't like him for he was the wrong color.  We both think his color is just fine.  He is pretty high strung and I get a little nervous on him but what a joy to have such a high class friend.

IBNROCKI 2000-____.  Rocki is registered Half Arabian.  She is also half Paint.  She, like KC, was just the wrong color.  They wanted a horse with spots.  She has no spots so she came to live here and I like her color, and perfect conformation, just fine.  She has such a sweet disposition.

Shastaaisha 1999-____.  Shasta, a Paint Horse, was left with my neighbor because her owner couldn't afford her.  I became friends over the fence and brought her home.  Now she has a home and name and is a very sweet horse that will do anything I ask.  She is boss of the barnyard but never needs to show it.

IBN STAR GABRIEL 2001-____.  Gabby is pure Egyptian Arabian and looks and acts it.  He ran wild with horses until he was 18 months and was not handled by people.  He did not trust anyone, including me for a time.  After much care he gets on fine with almost everyone, including strangers.

Meganadra 2001-____.  Megan is a pointer with a touch of lab.  She was with the County Humane society because her family didn't know how to handle her.  She was hyper and very afraid and needed TLC and careful training.  She has now become the perfect live-in companion and a great friend.

ECHO 2003-____.  Echo, a Belgian Sheppard, found me at work.  He was thin, in bad need of brushing and his worn collar looked as though it had been on a chain (illegal here).  He was lost and ask for help.  I agreed.  I ran an ad to find his owner but with no calls he became mine.  After a trip to the vet for shots and neuter, he learned to live with us in the house and is very happy.

CJ 2004-____.  CJ, an English Sheppard, got my attention when I visited the Ford County Humane Society's Saturday showing.  Sad eyes and a warm, friendly request for help was more than I could say no to.  He is now at home with us and doing real fine.  I don't understand how anyone could let this lovely guy get lost.

Tamara 1990-2004.  Tami was not wanted where she was born.  She was Brittany Spaniel and Samoid.  She was cuddly and she was a great hunter and friend.  I am happy they didn't want her.  Tami passed on 12/6/2004 and is hunting for God now.

Wild West's Millie G 1991-2004.  Millie, a Vizsla (Hungarian Pointer), was badly abused during her first 15 months and she was afraid of almost everything.  She was very special and we worked hard for years to cure her fears and make her life good.  Millie passed on 9/16/2004 and is in God's care now.
